Rumors are flying thick and fast that ESPN The Magazine’s October 2009 body issue will carry nude photos of sports personalities like Danica Patrick.

Apparently, the athletes will be shot tastefully, in non-explicit poses much in the line of Sports Illustrated’s photo spreads that are just short of nudity.
ESPN The Magazine has not confirmed Danica Patrick’a inclusion in the swimsuit issue, though.
Gary Belsky, Editor In Chief, ESPN The Magazine, has been quoted as saying, “When we do reveal the participant list, we will not reveal who disrobed and who did not. Will Danica Patrick’s ability to grab eyeballs help ESPN The Magazine to top Sports Illustrated bikini editions?
Or rather will it help boost their flagging circulation figures? Given her track record and her incredible popularity ESPN The magazine’s 2009 October body/bikini issue is likely to at least outsell its other 2009 issues.
26-year old Danica Patrick was the Rookie of the Year in 2005 Indianapolis 500 and the 2005 IndyCar Series. She went on to win the 2008 Indy Japan 300, to be the first female race driver to win an Indy car race.
Danica was included in FHM’s 100 sexiest women in the world list in 2006 and 2007 and was also voted the sexiest athlete in Victoria’s Secret “What is Sexy” list.
