Disney Channel dialed up some suite ratings with Friday's made-for-TV film "The Suite Life Movie."
The movie - starring Dylan and Cole Sprouse as teen twins with eventful lives and based on Disney's hit series "The Suite Life with Zack and Cody" - pulled in 5.2 million total viewers, according to the Nielsen Co., which made it Friday's top scripted program across all TV.
By comparison, Fox's sci-fi drama "Fringe" - which just got renewed for another season - delivered just 3.9 million. (CBS won the night with NCAA basketball, which averaged 8 million.)
"Suite Life" is the year's top movie in kid demos. The market for tween movies is getting increasingly competitive: Last year, Nickelodeon drew 7.6 million with its "Fred: the Movie," starring helium-voiced clown Fred Figglehorn (Lucas Cruikshank).

Brenda Song looks out on the docks with Phill Lewis in this new still from The Suite Life Movie, which premieres TONIGHT!

The 22-year-old actress chatted with JJJ about the movie, shooting in Vancouver, and missing Ashley Tisdale. Check it:
On finally getting a DCOM: “I’m so excited. There’s always been talk but you never really know. We’re so fortunate to even get to go on this adventure especially that we’ve known each other for so long.”

On the challenges London faces: “What challenges doesn’t London face? (laughs) But really in this movie, you really get to see that London and Bailey, they’re not only roommates, but they are friends.”

On shooting in Vancouver: “I love Vancouver. The last time I was there to shoot anything was when I was 12 with The Ultimate Christmas Present. It’s just so beautiful there, such a beautiful city. My mom and I walked around, went to parks, the twins would take me to antique shops and it was so much fun.”

On watching the twins grow up: “It’s amazing. Not just them, but Phill Lewis too. A couple weeks ago, I just found out about what he did before The Suite Life ever happened. It was so cool to see everything. But with Dylan and Cole, they’re not just my little brothers, but they’re my friends. It’s nice to just go and get coffee with them and listen to what Dylan’s working on with his art and about their cars. It’s great to just watch them grow up and to see who they are becoming. I’m so proud of them, they’re little men.”

On missing Ashley Tisdale: “You know, I never did get a chance to see her in Vancouver! The twins did and I was so mad. I wanted to see her. But I had The Social Network premieres and then I went back to Los Angeles. But between her cheer practices and Hellcats and us doing the movie, we didn’t even have the time. But it’s okay, we live near each other, so it’s okay.”

The Suite Life Movie premieres TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

The Suite Life Movie is just two days away from being released, and two more clips have just been released! Keep it here on ClevverTV for the deets.

Hey guys, welcome back to ClevverTV I'm Joslyn Davis in Hollywood. The Suite Life movie comes out this Friday, and there are two new clips from the film to get you even more psyched for the film. Our pals at Just Jared Jr. spoke with one of the stars Cole Sprouse, who's actually one of the producers on the project! He talked about how excited he and his twin Dylan are to see their popular Disney series be turned into a movie. He said the cast and crew definitely trusted him and his brother in their new producer roles, and even asked them for help on set!

Cole also touched on the theme of the film, which is all about being lighthearted. He says they wanted to create a movie that wasn't too serious, and that fans can get excited to see them taking part in some cool action sequences. The Suite Life Movie premieres THIS Friday, March 25 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel, so make sure to tune in! Let us know how excited you are to finally see Zach and Cody in their film debut by commenting below. You can also hit us up on Facebook.com/ClevverTV and click Like to stay in the know on everything entertainment-related. I'm Joslyn Davis for ClevverTV, and I'll see you soon!

Matthew Timmons goes crab crazy in this still from The Suite Life Movie, premiering FRIDAY on Disney Channel.
We caught up with Matthew, 18, in Vancouver to chat about the movie, twins and what’s happening with Woody. Check it:

On where and what Woody is doing: “The funny thing about Woody is that, in the movie and the series, he just bounces around. He’s Zack’s best friend but yet he’s friends with everyone and in the movie, he’s kind of doing the same thing. He bounces from friend to friend. In the movie, though, Woody starts off with Zack. Cody has given this letter to Zack to give to Bailey and we’re trying to ‘lose’ the letter. Then later on, Woody is with Bailey and trying to be her friend and comfort her.”

On the series finally getting a movie: “I thought it was great. Finally. Even back when they were ending Zack and Cody and doing a spinoff [with On Deck], I was thinking ‘Why take down a great show so soon?’ I was so excited about the movie. It was definitely time. The fans have been asking about it for the longest time. They [the twins and Brenda] have been doing this for six years and it’s such an established show that we’ve definitely been waiting for it.”

On if Woody would be a good match for Bailey or London: “(laughs) I love this question. You know, Cody and Bailey just work so well together that Woody and Bailey…it’s like Ross and Rachel on Friends. You can’t really imagine those two without each other. And London…she’s just in lala land. I don’t think London even remembers Woody’s name half the time (laughs). I love Brenda, she’s so good at being London and just a great actress all around. But it’s kind of funny, on the series in some episodes you’ll see Woody actually get the girl. But after that episode they never re-appear. Woody’s a player.”

On comparing Suite Life to his obsession, Friends: “I love that show. I can tell you what’s going to happen next, the lines…everything. But I was watching it the other night with Debby back at the hotel and I kept really comparing it to our show. The friendships, the whole show is based upon the closeness of six friends and it’s actually how ours is. You see Cody and Bailey, and Zack and Woody and then there’s London and Moseby (a father figure to her). You actually see why it’s been on the air for six years.”

The Suite Life Movie premieres TOMORROW @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

Only TWO more days until The Suite Life Movie premieres!!!
JJJ sat down with Cole Sprouse on the set earlier this year and chatted with him about putting on his producer hat, the challenges Cody will face and what he really wanted to see happen in the movie. Check it:

On the series finally getting a movie: “The thing about that is that we really haven’t been itching to get a movie out of the series. We didn’t expect it to come anytime soon since we were so involved in the show. But I know they [the writers and everyone else] have been wanted to shoot a movie and it was just a matter of time. I, personally, wanted to see the cast more together in the film because right now it’s just Dylan and I and it’s lonely in Vancouver (laughs). I wanted a bit more scenes with everyone…but that’s okay. We’ll get them. It’s actually kind of fun by ourselves for a little while.”

On the challenges Cody has to face: “Dealing with Zack is his main thing. The strain between Zack and Cody is huge and you definitely get to see how both of them deal with it and finding a common ground in the middle.”

On his executive producer role: “It’s great. Dylan and I know exactly what we want and know how the characters are. People do trust us with the skill. It’s all about trust in that role. Cast and crew will come to use creatively to ask about lines and that kind of thing. We definitely put a lot of effort and creativity into it.”

On the theme of the movie: “The theme of the movie that Dylan and I really want is lighthearted-ness. We don’t want it dramatic at all. That’s not how On Deck or Zack and Cody ever played. We want it light and funny, nothing too serious and that’s they way it’s going so far. There are some definitely action sequences that you’ll get to see.”

More clips and interviews still to come! The Suite Life Movie premieres THIS Friday, March 25 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

Debby Ryan gets consoled by Brenda Song in this new still from the upcoming The Suite Life Movie.

JustJaredJr.com sat down with Debby, 17, on the set of the movie recently and found out all about Bailey’s mission in the flick. Check it:

JJJ: How do you feel about The Suite Life finally getting its own DCOM?
Debby Ryan: “It’s so exciting! Obviously, I was a fan of the show before I ever got a role on it. It’s cool because it’s not a show that’s really hyped. We are really the only show on Disney right now that has no merchandising. I like to say that we’re the secret of Disney (laughs). They’ve actually been talking about this show having a DCOM for five years.”

JJJ: What challenges will Bailey come up against?
DR: “It’s all about the communication with Cody (Cole Sprouse) and trying to make things right between them. The fact that he’s at this internship makes it ten times harder for Bailey.”

(Click inside for more of our interview with Debby…)

JJJ: What’s going on with Bailey and Cody?
Debby Ryan: “What isn’t going on with them (laughs). It’s the last spring break before graduation, so it’s like the last big bang to really be with each other as much as possible before their futures. At this point, they really don’t know what they’re going to do and they’re trying to figure it out. Bailey is super excited about spring break and can’t wait to spend it with Cody, but he drops this bomb on her that he is actually going on this internship.

So, throughout the entire movie, you see Bailey trying to figure out what to do. She’s hurt by what he did and trying to figure out her own feelings about it all. She definitely wants to stay with him and keep the relationship going. Bailey is putting her feelings first and while Cody does what he needs to do as the guy in the relationship to step up and make things right. She’s trying to make herself available for things to happen.

There is also no cell phone reception at this internship. There’s zero communication. Bailey, of course, is thinking that she’s being ignored but in reality, he’s actually in danger. At the end, she realizes that she needs to save the day.”

JJJ: Do you have any favorite scenes?
DR: “One of my favorite scenes is actually between Mr. Moseby (Phill Lewis) and Bailey. We actually got to block out the scene too. We got to do this dos-i-do sequence. It was so fun.

JJJ: Were there any funny stories that stood out to you?
DR: “John and Steven French, who play Ben and Sven, the Nordic twins, they’re…crazy (laughs). They’re from LA and crazy guys. Random fact about me: I listened to a lot of Weird Al growing up and I know ‘Albuquerque,’ which is a 12-minute song, by heart. We played it and we were all quoting it! It’s the craziest situation. We have dinner parties with them all the time. They’re really good cooks!

JJJ: There are a ton of twins on this set. Have you gotten used to working with them yet?
DR: It’s funny because I work with Dylan and Cole on a daily basis, but they’re like not twins (laughs). Hanging out with John and Steven and Kara and Katelyn [Pacitto] — when you ask them a question, they will answer at the same time. Then you put all four of them together…But everyone is really laid back on set, very humble and ready to work.

Check out a clip below and stay tuned for more of our interviews from the set of The Suite Life Movie — premiering Friday, March 25 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

JJJ caught up with the 18-year-old actor on the set in Canada where he told us all about the plot, how Zack grows up and how it feels to finally get a Suite Life movie. Check it:

On what you can expect in the movie: “They’re trapping me in cages and throwing lions and bears at me (jokingly). No, really, we’re doing a plane scene right now and everything that you could imagine happening to Zack and Cody, happens in this movie.”

On the challenges that Zack faces in the film: “On top of the brothers fighting each other — that’s the main thing — but on top of that, there is a villain and we’re trying to conquer him and throw him to the jellies (joking).”

On filming the movie in Vancouver: “It’s great. We’ve gotten to eat at a lot of great restaurants during our down time and everything is in walking distance. It’s actually good prep for when Cole and I live in New York [for college].”

On finally getting a DCOM: “It’s been a long time coming, Disney finally came through. It’s been a lot of fun and a great new experience for us and I can’t wait to see the outcome.”
