Fifteen-year-old Robbie Kay recently visited the Disneyland park where he posed for a photo in front of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride. That’s fitting since Robbie stars in the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures film “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.”
In the movie Robbie plays a cabin boy who can hold his own with his shipmates on the Queen Anne’s Revenge.
So, what was it like for Robbie to work with actor Johnny Depp on set? He told the Disney Parks Blog:
He’s a really, really nice guy to work with. I’ve never met anyone as big as him before, so it was a bit of a shock at first, but once I got used to being around him, you know, he was just such a nice guy – and it’s so cool to say that I got to work with him.
Robbie also spoke about what he thought of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride at the park, saying:
It was so fun. I didn’t really know what to expect, I mean this is where this film franchise actually came from, and now they’ve added bits of the films into it, it’s so interesting. I liked it a lot.
Get ready for “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” to arrive in theaters on May 20, 2011.
