Disney’s popular music writers the Sherman Brothers worked on the musical movie “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” which has had some fun news today! Author Frank Cottrell Boyce will be writing three new children’s books based on the original novel by Ian Fleming titled “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: The Magical Car,” which is what the 1968 movie is based on.
The first novel in the new series, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Flies Again,” will arrive on November 4, 2011 and will be published in Britain by Macmillan Children’s Books. The plot is about the Tooting family, who discovers an old racing car engine in the present day and try to use it to make their camper van better!
The new series will be illustrated by Joe Berger. Will you be picking up copies of the new books?
