Thomas the Tank Engine in Toy Story? I WISH!

Toy Story 2 3-D hits the palace of dreams, I mean cinema, this week so we can relive the beauty of Pixar’s first ever sequel but in the three dimensions.

The fact that it has been stunningly re-mastered in 3-D is the cherry on top with hundreds and thousands sprinkled over plus chocolate sauce slowly dripping onto crispy wafers that sit aloft of the creamiest of ice creams.

This isn’t just Toy Story 2, This is Toy Story 2 in 3-D!

Right enough of all that ice cream talk before my keyboard floats away in salvia.

Being a movie set in the US of A, I suppose it’s understandable that a lot of the toys that the characters are supposedly based on were more recognisable to American kids rather than British (back then anyway).

Personally speaking, Thomas the Tank Engine WAS (capitalised to save my little social standing left) always a firm staple in my daily routine of playtime but as mentioned above the train may not have appealed to the American audience at the time. Thomas would have been the perfect toy to help Andy's gang of play things to travel around, though I can't help but think his often nauseously kind-heartedness would have annoyed the likes of witty Hamm somewhat.

Anyway enough about me, this is where you come in.

Which toy from your childhood would you have liked to have seen made an appearance in Toy Story? And what personality do you think the geniuses at Disney Pixar would have given them?

Get imagining!
